Bendigo Hospital Christmas Appeal
The children involved received their initial treatment at the Royal Children’s hospital however they now receive their ongoing specialist rehabilitation services here at Bendigo Health alleviating the need for those regular trips to Melbourne. Our service is an integral part of the Victorian Pediatric Rehabilitation Service which is supported through the Royal Children’s Hospital. A RCH medical specialist visits Bendigo Health every month to participate in the children’s ongoing care and treatment. Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy and Speech therapy all form a part of this excellent program that assists each these children to be the best that they can be. Through the Bendigo Hospital Christmas Appeal, funds raised will be used to purchase additional pediatric rehabilitation equipment. Bendigo Health’s Pediatric Rehabilitation service provides individualized rehabilitation programs for children who have experienced road trauma or a head injury and have complicated long term rehabilitation needs.
